Psalms 23 The Lord Is My Shepherd
So what does G.P.S mean? It means Global Positioning Systems that gives us accurate data from Satellites which enables us to use mapping systems to find our way to our required destinations.
God is my GPS means that God is our personal provider, guide & protector.God has a birds eye view of the world & knows where his people are at any given time! He cares for us greatly, we are his priority & we need to know that we have a spiritual Shepherd who is not in a field somewhere caring for us, but that our God-Jehovah Rohi has a 3D global Positioning System, where he can see us whenever we are with amazing accuracy.
Psalms 23:1 states, " The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want".
Just like earthly Shepherds caring for their sheep, should they be in need of food, in danger, become irritated by flies, become stuck in thistles, need moving to greener pastures or if a sheep becomes lost. Earthly Shepherds are brilliant problem solvers and protectors their sheep want for nothing, they know & follow their Shepherd.
Our God is also known as Jehovah Rohi- The Good Shepherd.
He see's us before we are born and when we die.
But what about the years in the middle?
Well, it really is up to us what we decide to do with our lives. We make our own choices Good & bad.
Often we are not aware or we don't believe that evil is real & exists until we are trapped, harmed, in want or dying.
God sent his son Jesus and his amazing Holy Spirit to the world.
This is what I call a loving, forgiving supreme 3D power system that never fails when we call on his name.
Whatever your situation God hears your call.
In John 10:11-18 It states that our 'Good Shepherd lays down his life for his sheep'.
Jesus laid down his life and died for our wrongs. Jesus Loves you and is waiting for you to come to him to be saved & healed from hurt, shame and injury. He cares for you, loves you and can help you gradually become the person of your desires and dreams, for example, a much calmer peaceful person. He changes us. I love this song by William Murphy; ' I am Changing, I will never be the same, cause I'm changing'.
God made this world and the next, no one can hide from his presence.
Let's not be alarmed by the changes taking place in the world. We have read in the word of God that there will be trouble, but God has overcome the world. We are to trust in the Lord when we are afraid. Psalms 56:3
Lets make sure that we are following the one and only Shepherd- Jehovah Rohi, whose GPS never fails, its always accurate, psalms119:105 reassures us, that "his word is a lamp for our feet, a light on our path".
He keeps our soul safe & guides us to our purpose and to our final destination, heaven.
