The Lord will fight for you, you only need to be still
#TrustGod: the opening of Exodus shows us the sovereignty of God, that he always has a plan. The Lord spoke to Moses and told them where to camp, before Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea opposite Baal Zephon; you shall camp before it by the sea.
God only needs a moment. Through it all He had a plan, and He has a plan, nothing can take God by surprise and sometimes we are positioned in a place or in circumstances where it feels like this can’t be God. But beyond it all; beyond our limited understanding, beyond our rationalisation and our impulse to take control. Through it all, through the uncertainty, through the fear, through the pain, we must be confident in the Lord. We must be confident in His is the timing, His divinity, His might and His presence of God. For surely, the Lord will fight for us.
The Israelites stood trapped with the sea before them, enemies behind them. Fear said it was over, but God’s plan was just beginning. Through Moses, God made a way where none existed, proving that His timing, power, and presence never fail.
#TrustGod. Sometimes life may feel like a dead end, but we must remember who God is. We must be assured that God doesn’t need a path. He is Elohim, Father God Almighty, the one who teaches the one who comforts the one who defend and fights for us. He doesn’t need a path; He creates one.
For we are His Treasured possession. We have been chosen and the word of God also says that no evil shall befall us, Psalms 91:10. God’s Word Translation states, therein no harm will come to us. Exodus 15:26 tell us, “If we will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD our God, and do what is right in His eyes, and pay attention to His commands, and keep all His statutes, then the Lord says, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.” Yes Father God Almighty, He is the one who heals, He is the one who delivers, and He is the one who strengthens us and guards us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
He is the One with the Plan, So Let us praise God for His ultimate plan, the plan of salvation. He alone saw us and spoke into us even before we where formed in our mothers whom. He has established the end from the beginning, and this is illustrated through the text.
Exodus 14, opens with Gods instruction. God positioned the Israelites, made the enemy look like he had the upper hand. Verse 3 reads: 3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘They are bewildered by the land; the wilderness has closed them in.’ Then I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, so that he will pursue them; vengeance was the root of bitterness that sprung up causing trouble. But let us not forget that all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers from them all (Psalms 34:19).
#TrustGod. As Rev Rachel clearly communicated in Sunday’s service ‘It’s all a set up!’ God only needs a moment; He has an appointed time. Let us be strengthened to know The Lord will fight for us. We must not be afraid, rather we must stand firm in our faith in our confidence of our Great and Mighty Lord for He will deliver. He will part the sea that your circumstances will drown in we only need to be still. God only needs a moment, He will draw the sea back and still whilst darkness seems to prevail at the appointed time, He will confuse the enemy, chariot wheels shall fall off, and the enemy, that is whatever adverse circumstance we face will see the glory of God our defender as that circumstance is eclipsed by our sovereign God’s Perfect timing, Ultimate Divinity, unmatchable might and tangible Presence.
