In The Waiting God Is Working
Isaiah 64:4
For since the Beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what you have prepared for him that waiteth for thee.
From the beginning, the world existed in full creation, it was created in the thought of God, and manifested through his breath of life. He uttered speech, a language and the world was formed through desire, a blueprint and an eternal pattern of new life and new forms of life (cosmos). Life was placed in the worlds, in the heavens, new life forms (planets, stars..) new forms of creation, God having already seen the perfection of his glory in all created things, and finally in the earth. The greatest of these being mankind, as we would glorify him in image and in likeness. He created mankind as the highest point of his creation, giving them dominion on the earth as it was in heaven.
Through faith the worlds were framed.( Heb. 11:3) and all things came into existence. Through Wisdom all was glorified in Understanding. (Prov. 8:14) “Counsel is mine, and sound Wisdom. I am understanding. I have strength.” Blessed are those who watch and wait on the purposes of God with Wisdom, (Prov. 8:34) being strong and steadfast in the Lord with faith, unwavering. Both faith and wisdom were there before the worlds were framed, (Prov. 8: 25, 26) ( Heb. 11:3) truth was there also, and these are the foundation of our life in God.
In the waiting, God who is our foundation of truth, is working for us, by wisdom and faith. He encourages us to utilise the power of a sound mind, the gift he has given us, through love. (2 Tim 1:7). As we wait on the fulfilment of his promises, and the full indwelling of his presence in us, and around us, we wait knowing that he is faithful, fails not and that living abiding in his wisdom is secure.
For he is the only wise God ( Jude 1:25) (Rom. 16:27) our saviour, and we are joined to him by faith, through his resurrection power that works in us. ( Eph. 3:20). So we then fix our eyes on eternal principles, not on how things appear through our natural thought patterns or natural sight, but rather how he works for us in ways that we have not yet thought to imagine. For eye has not yet seen, nor ear heard or perceived, what he prepares for us, as we wait. (Isiah 64:4). Yet in the waiting, God is working.
This is such a supreme aspect of his love towards us within the abundance of his grace, for when we become weak in waiting, he perfects his strength in us and if we degenerate in hope he creates ways to reignite the hope in us, through his written word, a spoken word, through a friend, through a stranger, or even a child.
So we can know that his eye and mind is still on us, and he is still with us, not forgetting our hopes or petitions, but delights in fulfilling them as we wait, trusting him to fulfil them in the waiting. When we wait on the Lord, it shows him that we fill the desire that he has for us to trust him, and in this he will constantly renew our strength; (Isaiah 40:31) as he pours his love over us in the gratitude of knowing that we love him and trust him enough to wait on him. He fortifies us by his spirit that dwells within our hearts and minds, to continue in the waiting process, to overcome doubt, and to continue in faith. He girds us up and encourages us to soar in hope, even as an eagle soars towards his face so must we. Trust in the Lord.
In the waiting, God Is still working to fulfil the desired outcome as eternally purposed. Selah.
The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and present you with his peace.
