Jesus the Bread of Life

Focus Scriptures: John 6:41-59

As we are adopted into the kinship of Christ we should no longer see and perceive things only from this natural world, in its natural form rather we should see and perceive things through the Spirit of God. Christ Jesus said everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Him.  Indeed, all power belongs to God and we must hold on to the true Grace of God which is the sustaining power within our Christian walk.  Through life we face many trials and difficult times and we can be assured that there will be seasons in our life where we find ourselves in a dark place. Yet we are still chosen to show forth the Glory of God, witnessing and testifying of His goodness in our lives.  We are commanded to give thanks in all things, in every circumstance, in every situation, this is the will of God for us.  Why should we give thanks? Beyond the fact that if love Him and He is working all things together for your Good.  Thank giving is a powerful form of gratitude and surrender.  Through thanksgiving we show forth a declaration of faith that we trust God in the midst of our circumstance.  However, if we are not partaking of the Bread of Life we are at a disadvantage.

It is impossible to please God without faith To come to Christ Jesus, we must believe in Him.  Believing is the first step of partaking.  We are not eating a physical food but we are partaking, consuming, digesting a spiritual substance, the Bread of Life.

God reveals things to us through His spirit, truth is revealed to us through the spirt of God who searches all things, even the deep things of God.  Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, He is the only way we can obtain the kingdom of God.  The Lord directs us to come unto Him if we are weary or heavy burdened, and He shall give us rest. Rest is a position of release, a state of peace, calm and a reward to those that partake of the Bread of Life.  Christ said when things are tuff, take His yoke, learn from Him.   This requires denial to our own self, denial to our own will and denial even to our own understanding.  Jesus Christ as the Son of God walking this earth submitted all things to the Father who is in heaven as should we.  However, this is impossible if we are not born of His Spirit through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things unseen.  An endeavour to become Christlike is threaded through the measure of faith in an unseen God; the Lord God Almighty the one that manifest miracles.  The miracle of birth, the miracle of healing. The miracle of the sustaining breath of life within all creation.  Jesus is the bread of life; Christ alone is the sustaining portion to life eternal so consume this daily bread and acquire power to overcome.  Consume Him through the meditation of His word. Consume Him through the dwelling of His presence in a still quiet moment as you invite Him into your heart.  Consume Him through the choice of obedience to His word.  Consume Him through a deeper level of prayer and intimate connection.  Consume Him through complete surrender to His will and to His way.  He Gave Himself as bread broken for the life of this world.  I invite you to feast, to eat, to truly partake and taste of the goodness of the Glory of God.  In the Mighty Name of Jesus – The Bread of Life
