God needs a willing heart

The Webster dictionary makes ref to what the word willing means:

Willing means

being ready, happy, or prepared to do something without being forced.

. [1, 2]

But what does willingness mean, in a Biblical perspective?

"Theologically, a willing heart is seen as a reflection of God's own nature and an essential aspect of true worship".(G)

I believe both definitions can be used together to fulfil this topic.

Do you recall this song that is full of questions for the Christian soul?

Ready to suffer

Grief or pain

Ready to stand the test

Ready for service

Lowly or great

Ready to do his will.

Chorus

Ready to go

Ready to stay

Ready my place to fill

Ready for service

Lowly or great

Ready to do his will?

Jesus gave his disciples and us; the great commission found in Matt 28:16-20.

Then Jesus came to them and said;

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the father son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age'.

Jesus had gone to heaven to his father and the disciples recieved the promised Holy Spirit.

A new day had dawned and the disciples were ready to go on without Christ physically being with them but, praise God, every step forward revealed the powerful presence being released of his Holy Spirit, and they achieved amazing growth of the Christian church throughout Europe and beyond. Hallelujah.

The disciples loved Jesus they spend time with him and listened/learnt his teachings.

Jesus Is Love & his saving power was the message, the main force that Jesus wanted his disciples to grasped and to share throughout the world. Jesus knew his world was already broken because of sin & that this would hurt his people, Jesus also knew that all would need to hear of the Saviour who died & rose again who cares deeply that no one should perish but come to repentance and live.1 Peter 3:9

Song-'Use me Lord to show someone the way and enable me to say

My storage is empty and I am available to You (Carlis Moody)'.

Asking God to come into our hearts was the right move we made.

Don't step back or bow out now, hold tight to him and trust God for whatever he ask us to do, he will give us the ability through the help of the Holy Spirit who sustains us as we becomes true worshippers of God.

One love Sis J
