Wait On The Lord
Isaiah 40: 28 – 31
Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard? The creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither grows weary. He increases the power of the faint hearted, and strengthens those who lack might. Even youths may faint, young men may utterly fall.
But they who wait on the Lord shall renew their Strength. They shall walk and not faint.
Wait on the Lord
As God’s people, the infilling of the holy Spirit dwells within us. This was given when the Lord God, resurrected from death on a cross and ascended into the heavenlies, where he is now seated as our high priest and intercessor.
This same resurrection power that raised him, has now freely been given to us through the manifestation of the Holy Spirit within us.
[Isa. 40:29]. Within this manifestation, the power of weariness, or strengthlessness is annulled, through the power of the blood of Jesus: and to those who experience timidity, or times of fear (faint-heartedness) to these courage and strength is increased, by setting Jesus as the rock of their salvation.
[Isa.40: 30] Even though, that through experiences on our walk/journey in Christ, we may feel powerless and some may utterly succumb to unethical circumstances, or situations, he who waits on the Lord, he who has placed God as their firm foundation, these shall renew their strength, continue within their Christian journey and overcome worldly obstacles.
They will soar within their Christ filled walk and eventually no longer succumb to the wearing down of obstacles and the pestilence of faintheartedness or fear.
[Isa 40:29] For it is the Lord who gives power to the fainthearted, and increases strength in those who feel that they are experiencing a lack of strength.
For the Lord, God is our creator, by whom all the world exists, through him all creation exists, including us his sons and daughters, who exist in him, through him, by him, for him and from him.. therefore, we as his own should have no need to guess or ponder the understanding of his person or ability towards us.
For surely we have heard and surely we have known, that our everlasting Father, God, the Lord, creator of the ends of the earth, he does not fear, neither does he grow weary. Have we not known? Have we not heard? He has given power to the faint and to them who have not might, he has increased their strength. [Isa 40:31].
Having the ability to see ourselves as God sees us and to accept his words concerning whom he says we are in him, (The righteousness of God in Christ Jesus), we who are wonderfully and particularly created for good works, great exploits, and the inheritors of incorruptible seed through Jesus the Christ, Yeshua. Throughout all the earth, we are his holy nation, and from this standpoint, he has already glorified us as his own.
[Isa 40:27] so why sayeth us O Israel? Us the people of his heart, that the circumstance of our walk is hidden his from his eye, and that he has overlooked our troubles? But rather he is all seeing and his timing in our lives is forever sure: as we Wait on him - (put our trust in his timing) while continuing to faithfully serve him.
When we look as beholding in a mirror [2 Cor. 3:18] the reflection of Christ is our substance, and when he looks at his beloved from heaven’s throne, he sees us as his substance in the earth. As in the creation of Adam, he said “this is very good, even so in the sacrifice of Christ, the second Adam, he has said that this is very good; for he through Christ now builds us up as glorious beings to dwell in him forever: and when we feel faint or weary he shelters us beneath the protective shadow of his hand.
Wait on the Lord
Why? Because within the waiting, God builds us, he prepares us, he also waits on us, as we grow in the areas of his expectation and delight. As he sets forth open doors, creating fresh foundations for spiritual growth. In the waiting God blesses us beyond measure, because he gives way for his character to be built and formed in us through every situation that we experience.
In the waiting, he also waits on us, to experience more of who he is in us and more of who we are in him.
Wait on the Lord, and on his timing, for the miraculous is birthed, within the waiting.
